Default AGV Sport - Suzuki Leather GSXR Jacket Review

I purchased this jacket in Mid-2007 at the AMA Races up at Road America. Of course, using my SUZUKI owner status to get a nice discount.

FIT/COMFORT:

I am 6' and about 160lbs. The jacket is a little larger in the waist area than what I would prefer, but the rest of the jacket made up for it. The sleeves fit perfectly, and are contoured out (riding position). The Jacket is full 100% leather. The shoulders are padded, with air vents, allowing perfect circulation. The two zippable areas in the back of the jacket allow for increased air flow. The shoulder/armpit is constructed of a rubber like material, which is also very breathable. The jacket was worn daily, rain, sun, or at night. Even being fairly heavy, it was what I required, and would not ride without it.

The jacket is a black/black/silver reflective material. It retains the visibility other motorists require when they aren't paying attention. When the sun/headlights glisten off the jacket, it will immediately catch your eye.

All-in-all, I still own the jacket, even though I don't own the bike. I plan to keep the jacket, wear when I ride occasionally, or share with a friend. I would purchase again!

The reflective striping is money in the bank, that's really my biggest complaint about the Icon Motorhead I just reviewed. It's 25 cents in material and would have been easy to incorporate into the design of the jacket. It would have improved night visibility substantially which never hurts on 2 wheels.

Do you feel that the "hump" on the back had any actual function or do you think it was just decorative?

The hump in the rear I felt was functional. When attempting to reach my 200mph+ on the highway, under full tuck, it supported my head in the upright position, and seemed to be more streamline than when I rode in my regular Mesh jacket.

Got it, I was always curious about those. Any noticeable effect at "normal" speed?

definitely a slick looking jacket, and I have to agree reflective is the only way to go these days, especially in city riding.
